1. Introduction

NRNA Finland Ry collects, verifies, and manages member information to provide essential services to the Nepali community in and outside Finland. Membership is personal and available only to individuals who qualify as Non-Resident Nepali (NRN) as defined by the NRNA Statute.

2. Statement of Intent

As a registered association in Finland, we take our responsibility to safeguard your personal data seriously. Your information is used exclusively to support the mission of the NRNA — uniting the global Nepali diaspora through service, connection, and cooperation.

3. Validity of Membership

Membership is valid for a period of two (2) years following successful verification. As a verified member, you automatically become part of the global NRNA network and affiliated national chapters.

• Discounts and privileges from recognized partner organizations
• Eligibility to participate in NRNA elections*

4. Cancellation of Membership

4.1 Cancellation by NRNA

NRNA Finland Ry reserves the right to revoke membership in the event of misuse, misconduct, or actions that damage the reputation of the association. Misuse includes but is not limited to disrespectful behavior, unethical conduct, or activities that violate the organization’s terms.

4.2 Cancellation by Member

Members may cancel their membership by providing a 3-month written notice to the Membership Department. Upon cancellation, all associated privileges and system access will be immediately terminated.

We collect only the information required to verify and manage your membership:

• Personal identification (passport, citizenship, or driver’s license)
• Contact details (email, phone, city of residence)
• Membership preferences and communication settings

5.2 How We Use Your Information

Your data helps us deliver NRNA membership services, share updates, and verify your participation in events and elections. Your name and email may be shared with NRNA ICC (the global governing body) for verification and voting purposes only.

5.3 Data Protection

All member information is stored securely and accessible only by authorized NRNA Finland board members. Data processing follows the EU GDPR standards and NRNA internal data security policies.

5.4 Your Rights

You have the right to:
